Personal Goals

Recently Accomplished:

  • Learn how to photograph the aurora. Below is my first aurora photo done with a smartphone, but it was completely unintentional and the aurora is very hard to see:

Here is the last aurora photo I took in Fairbanks in 2017:
  • Become scuba certified (my buoyancy makes it physically difficult for me to reach the bottom of pools...)
  • Travel above the arctic circle

Goals to be accomplished soon (In no particular order):

  • Receive private pilot license (Progress documented at
  • Become sky-driving certified (I've done a tandem jump but it wasn't exciting at all. Must go more extreme!)
  • Go zip-lining
  • Learn to paint better (I'll eventually post pictures of my oil paintings but it's pretty scary stuff)
  • Go bungee jumping
  • Try sugar sculpting (but I am really afraid of cooking the nerves in my hands...)
  • Kayak through a glacier cave
  • Visit Antarctica

Personal Interests

In no particular order:

Exciting Things I've Tried
